NJ Nan's Antiques
NJ Nan's is an antiques business located on the main floor of the Rhode Island Antiques Mall, in Pawtucket, RI. Nancy had been selling quality antiques to the wholesale and retail market in New Jersey for more than 25 years before relocating to Massachusetts in 2010. She's excited to see what antiquing is like in New England. Are the buyers looking for the same things as they are in the Mid Atlantic States? Are prices the same? We'll have to see . . .
A mahogany ogee clock case filled with seashells, a tole cache pot with Oriental design, a pressed glass cakestand holding small silvertone photo frames, a large brass frame, antique local bottles, and a pressed glass vanity tray with two milk glass Victorian dresser boxes (one for powder).
Nancy started in the business selling at the well-known, semi-annual Ocean Grove Flea Market in Ocean Grove, NJ. The next step was exhibiting and selling at local antiques shows. Her involvement grew when Nancy joined the Summit Antiques Center in Summit, NJ as a full time dealer in 1999. Over the years she became a part owner and part time manager of the center, and soon started an estate sale business that has been very successful.
Nancy developed a loyal and enthusiastic customer base in New Jersey for her retail antiques business and her estate sale management business -- and she is doing the same in Rhode Island. NJ Nan's is known for a large selection of high quality, fun and unusual antiques and collectibles at value prices, and honest, professionally run, and profitable estate sales with positive results for her clients and the buying public.

Hand painted pink Bristol glass bud vase; collectible brass, cast and gilded photo frames; Royal Doulton "Little Nell" figure, sold; a Herend pin dish, sold, and a vintage goldtone coin necklace, sold, diplayed on a pressed glass cake stand. I always have plenty of sweet, old photo frames for sale -- they make such great, personal gifts.
All the way from a buying trip while in Switzerland, this large German mohair bear was probably made by Bing. He's in excellent condition with an open, smiling mouth, nice felted paws and a hand knit "jumper."
These are a few of the Bing bear's Steiff friends: Large and small Bazi (beagle) dogs, small chenille terrier, sold, a Zicki Steiff goat, sold, another small Bazi dog, a small Steiff dog with red leather collar, a Steiff lion, a Steiff velvet Bambi fawn, a vintage plush Easter rabbit, sold, an unsual large Steiff rhino, a vintage blue teddy bear, a Steiff standing beaver, and just peaking out from the background, a new Steiff original Margaret bear with tags, and a new Steiff blonde bear with tags
This is a sweet, little Victorian oil on board. Unsigned, in period frame, very well done.
This is an outstanding display of hard to find antique German bisque dogs: spaniels, pugs, bulldogs, greyhounds, etc. nestled in with some antique German snowbabies, a pair of English Staffordshire spaniels (sold), a glass and pottery antique English Red Riding Hood figure (sold), an antique German glass Christmas ornament with a house on one side and a star on the other, and sterling silver serving pieces.
I LOVE little dolls! Here's a selection of various types of miniature, collectible dollies. Most of the dolls are German bisque dolls from the late 19th/early 20th c., but there are also frozen Charlotte type penny dolls in the foreground wearing simple crocheted dresses, Black Americana dolls, dollhouse dolls and small composition dolls.
A gorgeous Turn of the Century bookcase or display cabinet with added interior lighting and glass shelves. Glass on the sides allow for lots of light -- a wonderful display case. It would look great in a Victorian parlor or dining room filled with pretty dishes and glass! (sold)
Below are two photos of my constantly changing jewelry selection which includes both fine and costume jewelry and styles ranging from Victorian and Edwardian to recent sterling silver and mod 60s/70s looks!
